Before we had climate change a lot of countries were covered in ice. But now, with our temperature increasing all that ice is slowly but surely melting causing the water/ sea levels to raise a few meters! This might cause coastal habitats farther inland, it can cause destructive erosion, wetland flooding, aquifer and agricultural soil contamination with salt, and lost habitat for fish, birds, and plants and even us!
