Region 9 DMAC Site
Region 9 has created a DMAC User Site. They have done a GREAT job on that site! Access it here.
DMAC Secure Browser
Teachers now have the option of using the DMAC Secure Browser when giving DMAC tests. Here is information on the Secure Browser.
All Chromebooks have the DMAC Secure Browser installed. Teachers do NOT have to install the software, but they do have to set up Secure Browser on the test key.
If teachers want to use Secure Browser they must activate it on the Online tab of the test key. This has to be done for every test that you want to use Secure Browser in. Please watch this video for more information but fast forward to 1:20 in the video.
The DMAC Secure Browser is NOT like the STAAR and NWEA Secure Browser. Students will still have to login to the Chromebook and start a DMAC test like normal. IF the teacher added Secure Browser to the test key then it will make students then launch the Secure Browser. Here is a video that will walk you through what a student sees for Secure Browser.
Things to Know and Troubleshooting
If using Secure Browser, a teacher will have to reset their test session if they get out of the test at any time.
Students need to close all tabs other than the DMAC tab when getting into the Secure Browser.
If Students can't access the Secure Browser, have them shut down their Chromebook and turn it back in to try again.
