Implementation Options
There are two main implementation options:
Use Region 7 ESC as your Authorized Provider
Implement locally (MOU with Region 7 ESC)
Use Region 7 ESC as your Authorized Provider (AP)
Pay Region 7 ESC for district personnel participating in academies.
Fees for training models as set by TEA:
Blended = $400/participant*
Comprehensive = $3,000/participant*
AP provides all services to the district necessary for implementation
District sends teachers and principals to Texas Reading Academies training
Implement Locally (MOU with Region 7 ESC)
Enter an MOU with Region 7 ESC
Employ district Cohort Leader(s)
Pay flat fee to Region 7 ESC per Cohort Leader, as applicable:
Blended = $10,000/facilitator*
Comprehensive = $12,000/coach*
District Cohort Leader delivers training to participants
Region 7 ESC provides technical assistance and support to district
*Per TEA, fees are subject to change.
Local Implementation Model Costs to Consider
The District pays for:
Recruitment and hiring costs
All salary, fringe, and benefits
The Authorized Provider pays for:
Materials for participants
Travel to Cohort leader training
Ongoing support and technical assistance as needed, including registration
