"Fostering Partnerships for Student Success: Autism in Inclusive Classrooms"
This session focuses on strategies to foster effective partnerships between general and special education teachers. Participants will explore methods to create inclusive and supportive learning environments where collaboration is key to student success. The session will provide a number of best practices for co-teaching, joint planning, and providing comprehensive support to all students.
Objectives:
Identify key support systems for students with Autism by compiling a list of at least five essential support systems (e.g., speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavior support, etc.) by the end of this presentation.
Clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each team member involved in supporting students with Autism by creating a document outlining these specific roles by providing the document to each member.
Identify 2 strategies that will establish concrete partnerships with parents and external support agencies to foster a collaborative environment by utilizing existing communication channels 4 times during the school year.

This session is designed to foster a shared vision of inclusivity and collaboration within educational and community environments. Participants will explore strategies for building an inclusive culture where all voices are valued, with a particular focus on collaborative efforts that bridge gaps between diverse groups, including students, staff, families, and community partners. The session will emphasize the importance of communication, shared responsibility, and creating an environment where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Objectives:
By the end of the session, participants will complete an assessment of their current practices and identify at least three areas in their school or community that could be improved to foster inclusivity.
By the end of the session, participants will identify and commit to implementing at least two collaboration strategies that bridge gaps between diverse groups.
By the conclusion of the session, participants will create and present an actionable plan for improving inclusive communication within their environments, detailing at least two specific initiatives to be implemented within the next three months.
