Jessica VonGarrel

Jessica vonGarrel comes from a large Deaf family in Baltimore, Maryland. She has been living in Austin, Texas for 10 years. She is an Elementary teacher at Texas School for the Deaf and is currently team-teaching Fifth grade Math & Science. When she is not teaching, she enjoys creating music videos with American Sign Language, providing photo shoots for her family & friends and going on random adventures. She has been a Zumba instructor for 4 years, providing classes for children from kindergarten to 5th grades. She co-founded a performing troupe known as HipZu Funk and provided performances and workshops across different states for 4 years. She is a retired member after 10 years with a performing troupe known as Rathskellar which has provided performances and workshops all over America and Europe. She is a believer of giving hope a chance to float, laughter that overflows the heart & how kindness is essential.
