While this event has evolved over the years, this is now the one football game a year where every concert band student performs on the field and in the stands.

Originally called Adjudications, MPA's give ensembles a chance to perform for many quality band judges (often college professors). The PMEA MPA includes a Sight Reading room as well.
Traditionally a Saturday in early May, we are preparing to celebrate 89 years of excellence in May 2023.
All band students are invited to attend CMBF, an annual event in Allentown where we get to watch many college marching bands and learn that the music does not need to stop after high school.
Honors Band students and others interested in preparing all of the audition material go to Parkland High School to audition for District Band and District Orchestra.
A casual small ensemble concert held in the band room where students perform in groups mostly rehearsed during concert band class.
Students qualify for various honor festivals. This includes County Band, Marywood Wind Band Celebration, and PMEA events (District/Regions/States for both Band and Orchestra)
To celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month in April, we host a night of jazz band performances, concluding with our South Jazz Band Ensemble.
Most years, we go to a PA amusement park after performing at a festival adjudication at a school near to the park. We get a rating and feedback on our performance.
Depending on the show and books available, we invite students able to play the parts along with the rest of the pit orchestra for our school's musical.
In late May, students can perform prepared solos and small group selections.
Non-senior members of the high school band are encouraged to play the music for graduation.
One of our newest traditions, current band students as well as alumni are invited to practice and perform together in front of the school on Independence Day. As of 2024, this will probably not occur again.
