Katye Clogg has been the Director of Bands at the East Stroudsburg South High School in East Stroudsburg, PA since 2010. She currently directs the Concert Bands, the Jazz Band, the Cavalier Marching Band. Prior to her current position, Ms. Clogg has also taught band at the elementary and middles school levels in East Stroudsburg.
During her time in East Stroudsburg, Ms. Clogg has expanded the small ensemble instruction to include an annual winter event and has also coordinates the marching drumline and color guard instruction when needed. She has also been involved with the South musical, often as pit orchestra director or playing musician, but even directing and producing the musical for seven years.
Ms. Clogg's studied at the Pennsylvania State University, graduating with honors in music education and horn performance. She later studied wind band conducting with Jack Stamp and Jason Worzbyt at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has taken additional coursework at Villanova University, University of the Arts, and VanderCook College of Music. She has been published in the Teaching Music Through Performance in Band series. She also enjoys continuing learning at PMEA events and listening to many band-related podcasts.
A member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), Ms. Clogg is now serving a second term as the PMEA District 10 President. She is also a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), National Band Association (NBA), and Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity. Ms. Clogg has guest conducted multiple honor bands, including the Berks County 6th Grade Bandfest, the Lycoming County Senior County Band, and the Dauphin County Junior High Band Festival.
