The Greater DC-Maryland-Northern Virginia Area is a cornucopia of tourist opportunities.  Also within easy travel distance from this hotel is Baltimore, Annapolis, Civil War battlefields at Manassas, the National Mall, etc.

If you choose to rent a car, parking at the hotel is $10/day.

There are no COVID restrictions currently in effect (5/18) for Montgomery County MD. 

Montgomery County’s indoor mask mandate expired on Monday, February 21, 2022. 

Businesses may continue to require masks at their discretion. Confab23 will be a mask friendly event, but masks will not be required unless Montgomery County standards change.

The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles National Airport are the two closest airports to the Hotel and both have super shuttles, taxis, etc., that will take you from the airport to the hotel.  The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is a little further, but is also an option.

The nearest Metro stop to the hotel is Shady Grove on the RED line. This stop is approximately 3.5 miles from the hotel, and using a taxi or ride service is strongly advised.  Update: the hotel no longer provides a shuttle to/from Shady Grove.

The Greater DC area in October generally experiences temperatures in the low to mid 70s F (about 23 C) and occasionally into the 80s F (about 29 C) while early morning lows are mostly in the mid-50s F (about 13 C).
