Directions: Students double click on the snow to open the Google Drawing. They click and drag items from the left (snowflakes, polar bear, snowman) to create a winter scene. Next, students graph how many of each object they included in their scene. Students complete the sentence frames and type an equation to correspond with the sentences they wrote.
Since Google Drawing is not compatible with a tablet device, this template will not work on a tablet.

Participating in STEM challenge activities are optional but highly recommended. A showcase not necessary in this case since both activities are not tested. Supply requests will need to be submitted a week in advance.

Students will use wax paper to create their snowflake using one of these snowflake designs. They will learn why something transparent becomes white.
Materials:
Snowflake Maker copy
Wax paper- 1 roll per class
Scissors
Glue
Paper plates - 45 per class
