STATION #1

CODING USING ROBOTS

Learning Objective:  Students will learn basic coding commands in order to program their robot to complete a series of steps.

3rd - 5th will continue coding using Ozobots.

TK - 2nd Grades will be continue coding using Go Mouse.

Coding with Go Mouse

Students in grades Tk - 2nd will continue learning how to give step by step coding commands (forward, right, left, backwards.)

Coding with Ozobots

Students 3rd - 5th will  continue learning to code using Ozobots and Go Mouse. Their task is to create a race track. Their Ozobot is to drive thru the race track at different speeds.

STATION #2

STEM BINS

Learning Objective:  Students will learn to collaborate and problem solve when they construct an object using a manipulative of their choice.

Students will work with a partner as they construct using STEMS Bins.

STEM BINS should not be mixed. Please make sure you clean your work space before leaving.

STATION #3

OSMO - NUMBERS

Learning Objective:  Students will practice their math skills using OSMO Number Tiles with the goal of learning then with automaticity.

Students will add, subtract and maybe multiply and beat the water level from running out.

Be sure to keep track of your tiles. Use this Image to help you organize your tiles and make sure you do not lose any tiles.                                                            ➡️

Here are some videos to help both of our younger and older students.

STATION #4

HOT WHEELS STEM Activity

Learning Objective: Students will collaborate as they construct a track and learn how cars perform on inclined surfaces.

How does the layout of a track affect the speed and distance of a Hot Wheels car?

Tk-2nd Task:  is to build ramps and bridges that will sustain the track and allow the Hot Wheels car to reach the end of the track.

3rd-5th Task: is to build different ramps that will allow a car to travel through a one loop or two loops. Students will build and improve their ramp based on the performance of their car. They will focus on how the height of the ramp changes how far and how fast the cars move and if it makes it through a loop(s).

STATION #5

TECH SKILLS

Learning Objective:  Students will learn the key position of each letter and learn to type using the home row.

Students will need their CLEVER Cards to access the typing programs they will be using.

TK-2nd grade students will learn how to use the keyboard and memorize letter and number key locations.

3rd-5th grade students will memorize the keyboard and learn how to use the home row.

STATION #6

ENGINEERING STATION

Learning Objective:

Students will to work collaboratively as they follow the steps of the Engineering Design Process to build structures using sticks and connectors.

STUDENTS will construct structures using sticks and connectors. Be sure to be and think outside the box!
