The Kuriat Islands

The Kuriat Islands (or Curata Islands) are a small archipelago located off the Tunisian coast in the Gulf of Gabes. The archipelago consists of two main islands, Kuriat el Snousi and Kuriat el Gharbi, as well as several small rocky islets.

The Kuriat Islands are a protected nature reserve, home to a wide variety of marine birds, fish and endemic plants. They are also known for their crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches, making them a popular destination for boaters and nature lovers.

However, due to their isolation, the Kuriat Islands have been little affected by tourism development and retain their wild and natural charm. Visitors must obtain a permit to access the islands and are required to respect the environmental regulations of the nature reserve.
