JUNIOR WRITING PORTFOLIO
Every Joel Barlow junior will create a Junior Writing Portfolio as part of a schoolwide assessment of student writing, thinking, and learning. Building portfolios gives students the opportunity to look at their writing objectively and produce a polished collection for review by readers other than their current teachers. Students' writing from across the curriculum shows the wide range of quality and growth in each student’s work and gives a more accurate assessment than we get from a single test or writing sample.
