Did you know that in the Church the Christmas season lasts until the feast of the Baptism of Jesus, three Sundays after Christmas day!
The main things we commemorate: he was born (25th), he has a 'Holy Family' (27th), he has a mother (Jan 1st), he even gets presents from the 'Wise Men' (6th), and he is baptised (10th). Overall, the point is, Jesus very much experiences life as one of us.
By coming to our level, Jesus makes humanity holy; he gives us dignity and purpose. He even says he comes so that we can "have life to the full." (John 10; 10) What does it mean to have a full life?
In this page we want to look at how we can be more virtuous and how we can brighten the lives of those around us.
It's true. We tend to recognise that there are some things we do well and some things we could do better! We just know! The first task this week is to set some goals:
Decide a goal to achieve this year and what you might need to do in order to achieve it.
Decide a goal to achieve this week and what you might need to do to achieve it.
For example, if you would like to walk 10000km this year, you need to develop a habit of walking. If you want to develop a habit of walking, you need to start by going for a walk!
If you're able to develop good habits, then you are growing in virtue!
