Mrs Martin planned lots of interesting STEM activities for us to participate in at the Innovation Station.

We learned all about air resistance. Our task was to build the best parachute. It was really fun but quite challenging. Sometimes our parachutes would flip when they landed so we had to re-think our design.
Mirab told us some top tips for making the best parachute and we had another chance to improve. We definitely had some more successful parachutes after learning the top tips.
This week we learned the numbers 11-20. We also practiced asking each other our age.
We had our final Bikeability session on the roads this week. Everyone showed excellent skill when demonstrating manoeuvres such as left and right turns into major and minor roads, u-turns, safe starts and safe stops.
The instructors were really impressed!
We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 6th March. We took part in a World Book Day "Booky and Footy" quiz online run by the National Literacy Trust.
There were also Drop Everything and Read sessions throughout the day. One was during our PE slot!
We also had the chance to do some shared reading with our buddies in Primary 1. We read them lots of books.
A topic very close to Miss Harkness' heart - she is Colin the Caterpillar's number one fan!
Will you "#FreeCuthbert"?
This week we learned the numbers 1-10 in Mandarin. We also learned how to write the numbers.
