Scottish Showcase
P7.1 performed Loch Lomond at the Scottish Showcase!
P7.1 have been reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas for our class novel. Today we are watching the film adaptation.
On Monday we had a British Sign Language workshop with Graham and David. We learned how to sign the alphabet and numbers. They also taught us how to sign "my name is..." and "I am ... old".
We had to turn off our voices in order to really concentrate on performing the signs correctly. It was really interesting finding out more about British Sign Language.
This week we have been learning about The Holocaust. We read an article and watched a video and took notes. Then we used our notes to create a poster or fact file to display our learning.
We have been creating artwork inspired by Gillian Kyle. We were each given a Scottish product and we then analysed the colours of the packaging and design. Then we created 4 different designs based on the colour palette. We also had to incorporate an image of the actual product. You will be able to see our final pieces at our Scottish Showcase on Friday 31st January.
