In S1 we start off with Ready Steady Cook where we introduce you to the kitchen and start to develop your knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene, your practical cookery skills and your knowledge and understanding of different ingredients.
In the Food Sustainability unit we start off by looking at food sustainability with a focus on reducing food miles and food waste and the benefits of eating local and seasonal food. We then look at the factors influencing what we eat and how our nutritional needs change as we go through life.
