Each year, students will take a six week exploratory course in Family & Consumer Sciences. Three modules will be completed each year, always including a cooking module where students cook in a classroom kitchen.
Students will discover new information, skills and careers that help them prepare for "real life". Students work independently or with one or two partners.
6th GRADE: complete modules of: Baking & Measuring, Child Care & Development & an instructor-led introduction to Family & Consumer Sciences
7th GRADE: complete the modules of: Snack Attack, Clothing Care & Interior Design
8th GRADE: complete the modules of: Making Meals, Consumer Skills & Sewing Skills
