FCCLA stands for: FAMILY, CAREER and COMMUNITY LEADERS of AMERICA
FCCLA is the organization that has Family & Consumer Sciences as its main focus. A student would join the local chapter (at Elkhorn High School or Elkhorn South High School). There are many different ways to get involved.
Students plan and implement service projects. There are opportunities for community service, public speaking, leadership, competitions and career development. Chapter projects can range from bicycle safety, helping at a homeless shelter, working with children, nutrition etc. As a group, you will find things such as group picnics, trolley downtown to see holiday lights, and going to the pumpkin patch as a group.
FCCLA also offers students to compete at a competitive level & develop leadership skills!!
For more information please see the high school advisors: Linda Milliken (Elkhorn High School) and Brooke Howery & Zoe Conley (Elkhorn South High School) and Jamie Janousek (Elkhorn North High School).
