7th grade Chorus is an elective class meeting 2-3 times weekly.

Student continue to explore vocal music, further develop their music skills, and perform in large and small groups. Material taught includes:

• intermediate rhythm literacy

• music vocabulary

• progressive music theory

• sight-singing

• reading choral music in 2-part, 3-part, and SAB voicing

• multicultural vocal literature

• solo and ensemble vocal technique

7th grade singers have the opportunity to perform in three concerts during the school year, have some small group opportunities, and they may audition for The Classics, our varsity show choir.
