Dr. Erika Persson, Vimy's Sport Medicine Doctor
Dr. Persson completed her medical degree at the University of Alberta in 2005 and followed this with her Pediatric Residency at the University of Alberta and Stollery Children’s Hospital in 2009. She then went on to complete her Pediatric Sport Medicine Fellowship at the University of Manitoba as the first fellow in the first and only Canadian Pediatric Sport Medicine Training program. She holds her diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Dr. Persson started her Pediatric Sports Medicine Practice in July 2010. She has a special interest in performing arts medicine and aesthetic sports including dance, gymnastics, and figure skating. Dr. Persson is an Associate Clinical Professor in General Pediatrics at the University of Alberta, Departments of Pediatrics and Family Medicine, and sees patients and families at Summerside Children’s and Sport Physiotherapy Clinic in Edmonton as well as at her office at Vimy Ridge Academy on Thursdays.

Chris Holt, PT BScPT, MScRS, Cert. Sports Physio
Vimy Ridge Academy is proud to partner with Summerside Physiotherapy to now offer a fully functional sports physio clinic within the school. Chris Holt (Cert. Sports Physio) is the therapist on site at the Vimy Ridge Sports Physio Clinic. Chris has spent the last 20 years specializing in working with young athletes, and is passionate about keeping youth active, healthy, and performing their best.If injuries happen this school year, attend physiotherapy sessions during the school day to minimize time away and travel, and maximize the integration of your injury rehab with your program instructors and teachers. The Vimy Ridge Sports Physio Clinic is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am until 4pm, The clinic is located within Vimy Ridge Academy in room 121, across from the main office.
To book in for a physiotherapy assessment, please call the Summerside Physio office (780-466-8676), or just stop in during clinic hours to chat and find a time.
