Eastglen is fortunate to have three Graduation Coaches to support students with high school completion.
The First Nations, Métis, and Inuit High School Completion Coach model was established to support achievement and success of self-identified First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students within Edmonton Public Schools.
As coaches, we work as a team supporting First nations, Métis, and Inuit students in High School.
We assist students with career planning, post-secondary planning, cultural activities, academic support, and overall success.

Stephanie Fennema
My name is Stephanie Fennema, I am the Cultural Liaison here at Eastglen high school! I was adopted from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I have lived in Edmonton, Alberta for 23 years. I studied Social Work and have a passion for learning about others.
I am excited to be the Cultural Liaison at Eastglen. I have especially enjoyed getting to know all the students who have come my way. I am here to support the students throughout their time in high school. I act as a support for all students and I specifically work closely with the students of color; I support these students in continuing to have healthy relationships with their peers and staff in the building. I support the school with making Eastglen a safe place to be for all staff and students.
In my short time here I have learned the importance of equal representation within a school setting. I am honored to be here and be able to be another listening ear for so many students!
In addition to helping you find success in High School, we focus on helping you explore potential career options and post-High School options. Check out this video to learn more about our Career Pathways & Campus EPSB programs!
