NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website at epsb.ca to learn how to register for school.
CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL
You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you'd like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens February 3. If you have questions about registering for school, contact the school office.
Registration and pre-enrolment close at 4 p.m. on March 19, 2025
March 19, 2025 is the last day for parents to register or select their child's preferred school for next year (2025-2026). Learn about New Student Registration here and Pre-Enrolment in SchoolZone.
IMPORTANT: Registration and pre-enrolment are not first-come, first-served, so take time to research your options and find the school and program that work best for your family.
PRE-ENROL IN SCHOOLZONE
Sign in to SchoolZone between 9 a.m. on Feb 3 and 4 p.m. on March 19, 2025 to select your child’s preferred school for the 2025-26 school year.
When you sign in to your parent SchoolZone account on your computer, tablet or smartphone:
choose Next Year
select the name of the child you are pre-enrolling
follow the instructions to select your child’s preferred school for next year
GROWTH CONTROL
Dr. Anne Anderson High School is currently at Level 2 on our Division’s Growth Control model, with open boundaries. This means that we:
have open boundaries will follow the Level-1 process for enrolment priorities
may close the attendance area boundary—only resident students in the designated attendance area and siblings can enrol, as long as both students are returning to the school next year
do not accept resident students from outside the attendance area if the school has closed boundaries
may reclaim leased spaces
add portables or make modifications to existing spaces to create room, if possible
For more information about our Growth Control Model, please visit epsb.ca.
RANDOM SELECTION
Dr. Anne Anderson High School typically receives more enrolment requests than we can accommodate. If your child will be new to Dr. Anne Anderson High School next fall and Dr. Anne Anderson High School is not your designated attendance area school, your child may be chosen by random selection.
Check our school website, after the March 19 pre-enrolment deadline to find out whether new students from outside Dr. Anne Anderson’s attendance area will be entered into a random selection. Students entered into a random selection will hear from the school in April about whether they have been successful in the random selection.
COURSE PLANNER AND PROGRAM GUIDE
We are proud to offer a diverse array of programming, including several new courses, to support our students' education. Please use these two documents when planning which courses your student will enroll in next year:
