The Legal Studies program is designed to inform students of the core legal principles, laws, and institutions which govern general societal interests in Canada. Students study a framework that provides guidance for navigating through competing interests within the various levels of legal structure, from local ordinances to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Coursework includes case studies, article reviews, a courthouse field trip and assignments designed to engage students in understanding how they will use legal information as part of their daily lives and to further engage students who are interested in careers in law.
