WATERWORLD CHAMPION
NEW HIDE AND SWIM CHAMPION
James Pond/Reporter/March Animal Madness News/March 13th
New young Hide and swimmer Apu the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a takes the championship title from 4 time champion Cracker the Coconut Crab at the Coral Reef.
Quoted by the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a expert Devong ``Experienced at the art of disappearing” is what he had to say about the Hide and Swimmer Apu and his hiding skills. Apu and Cracker each had 3 rounds to hide from each other and must stay hidden before the rock at the top of the water touches the bottom of the Coral Reef. There would be 6 rounds, Apu would be the first to hide, Cracker turns, all the eyes on him, and Apu would suddenly disappear and would be “nowhere to be seen” said by many eye witnesses at the Coral Reef, Rounds went on, one by one and Apu would say on top for the entire time. Apu’s scales were extremely useful due to how rough and anti-scratch they were, making it easy for him to get through holes and cracks in the rocky floor.
The science expert and teacher Mr. Riemann called Apu “Best fish in the sea” during his interview after the competition, Ringo the sea star had this to say in his interview when asked about Apu’s performance “You probably didn't see but he is using a special skill that only the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a know” making Apu’s special skill all that mysterious.

Yesterday on March 7th, 2024, in the rainforest of New Guinea. A Vampire Parrot stole a fig out of a tourist's hand.
A Vampire Parrot stole a fig out of a tourist's hand in a local rainforest in New Guinea yesterday. This is not the first time this has been reported, with the most recent case being just yesterday. There have been multiple reports and cases of this happening near rainforests where there have been sightings of Vampire Parrots.
Witnesses have said they are said to “hop from branch to branch” and also to “dive down towards its food” and “steal” the food out of peoples hands. A witness reported saying “I saw a Vampire Parrot hopping from one branch to another, then take a fig out of some random person's hand.” Another witness said “A Vampire Parrot dove towards me and stole my fig out of my hand!”
We consulted an expert who worked with Vampire Parrots, and we asked why Vampire Parrots hopped and gilded around. The expert replied saying “Pesquet's parrot or also known as the Vampire Parrot likes to hop around on branches. They also tend to glide around, we think this because they have predators in the sky such as hawks and other predators such as snakes keeping it from staying on the floor.” Another question we asked was “Why are they stealing figs?” The expert answered, “They seemed to have run out of figs or other alternate food sources near them and the Vampire Parrots alternated to stealing figs from people in order to survive.” A solution the expert came up with is to “Hide your figs away from Vampire Parrots” And “Don't bring figs to a rainforest filled with Vampire Parrots.”
