I just swam away from a shark. I got separated from my wife. That was crazy. But my stomach is still rumbling. I need to eat but I can't leave this crevice that I am hiding in. small black pocket in the rocks. And outside of this tiny cramped black hole lies the beautiful corals of the warm Indian ocean. I'm going to peep my head out to see if I'm safe.
DUN DUN DUN.
IS THAT A SHARK I HEAR. Looks like I'm going to have to stay here for a little longer. Maybe if I see the shark swim by I can sneak past the shark.
BUM BUM BUM.
There goes the shark time to make my escape. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. YAY I made it. Let's see if we are safe. AHHH A SHARKK. I must stay here and blend in with the coral. This is going to be a little problem. If I leave I might get eaten. I surely don't want to get eaten.
SPASH
Ok that shark swam away but i know that if there is one shark there is probably more. How am I going to get home to my wife and kids?? Let's wait until all the sharks are gone then I can go home. In the meantime I'm going to eat all the little critters in the corals.
10 days later.
Yawn good morning guys I think it's time to go home to the wife and kids they have been waiting on me for so long. All the sharks are gone. Time to get home. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. OH OH IS THAT A SHARK I HEAR A SHARK BEHIND ME!! GOO THROUGH THE ROCKS. My slim body allows me to fit in tight spaces to get away from the sharks. I know my corals this tiny alleyway leads to my house.
And hurray, I'm safe. I'm back home.
Blub blub, blub blub. I love swimming in the ocean at night. The feeling of the warm tropical waters hitting my white belly. The feeling of the water pressure hitting my dorsal fin. But I hear my stomach growling, I’m getting pretty hungry. And I know when I’m hungry, I get really angry.
What should be on the menu today? Fishes, squids, seals, or maybe even other whales. They don’t call me the killer whale for no reason.
Oh fishy, fishy, fishy, where are you? Where could you be hiding? Let’s scanhop to see if there’s food. Just like how my grandmother taught me and my pod too.
Ooo, I spotted a salmon. How should I catch it without it spotting me? From up above so all the salmon sees is my white belly blended in with the top of the ocean. Or from down below, where all it sees is my black back blended into the deep depths of the ocean? I think deep depths will do today!
Oh c'mon fishy, why do you keep swimming far away from me. Little does the salmon know, I'm the fastest swimmer in my pod and he’ll be in my stomach in no time.

Small fish part ways as I swim by. I’m not hard to miss, I'm Mr. World's biggest fish! I have these spots on my back to help me blend in, but my size doesn't help, a human's small as my fin! I have not much to fear, and not much should fear me, I'm a gentle giant… we all can agree! Others NEED to spot me, I'm shelter for many who belong to the sea. Who tag alongside while I swim with the tide, although I sometimes get hungry… I open my mouth and the fish come to me! No need to hide and stalk, they swim in like a catwalk. Although I'm brave I do have this fear of HUMANS and all of their gear! They want to poach me! So what do I do? Well my spots help me blend, since I won't fight back to you. Oh snap! They threw me off track! They scared off the fish too.
That's the only time I ever need to hide, but I’m magnificent, they won't break my stride! I’ll sway my tail here, and swim over there, nothing will take the spark… from the oceans biggest fish, the whale shark!
“I wonder where the ocean is gonna bring me” I think to myself feeling extra lazy today.I rely on the water currents for movement I barely move on my own. The water current made me drift away from the other fried egg jellyfish. That's a good thing because I'm not a very social animal. As I drifted through the ocean I found a zooplankton and decided to munch on it. I squinted my eyes and in the distance I spotted a sea turtle.
“Oh no” I think to myself but then I remember “I have encountered so many of these no turtle is gonna eat me today” My body is built in a very nice way. It's translucent which means it's almost see through. If I stop moving I will look like a part of the ocean. So I find a nice spot and freeze. The sea turtle comes closer and closer to me and it doesn't even see me “yippe” I think to myself happily. But suddenly a huge water current comes right in my directions
“Dang it, mom never told me what to do in this situation” the current got stronger and stronger and I closed my eyes and the current started moving me when I opened my eyes the big sea turtle was right in front of me
“You look like lunch” says the sea turtle my heart dropped
“Oh no” of course I can’t out swim a sea turtle there to fast
“WHY IS THE CURRENT MAKING ME MOVE CLOSER TO THE SEA TURTLE” I yell all mad. But us fried egg jellyfish are incredibly smart, smarter than a stupid sea turtle. I quickly looked around and spotted a forest of sea weed, and it wasn't far. I quickly swim forcing my tentacles to go as fast as I could
“Oh my gosh I made it to the sea weed forest and now it's time to camouflage” I go to a less dense part of the forest and blend in. I look up and see the sea turtle all confused looking for me. The good part is the current can't move me here because of the tall sea weed.
5 minutes later I came out and swam straight to my mom to tell her what happened. I love being a fried egg jelly fish. We are very smart and see through. Then I spotted a plankton. I catch it with my tentacles and bring it to my mouth “mmmmm yummy” I say with happiness.
