As I was swimming, I was searching for food in the kelp forest. Then I noticed something on the ground. It looked really shiny, almost like a rock, so I swam closer to it then I noticed something. It was not a rock, but I picked it up anyway. It looks like I will come in handy.
Some time later I saw another shiny thing.
“This has to be a rock,“ I said to myself. So I swam up to it and it was not a rock. But it looked familiar so I went in my skin flaps to get the thing that I picked up and it looked like it was the thing that I had in my paws.
“This is my second time seeing this,” I thought to myself. So I picked it up and continued to find some food. I ended up finding 2 clams and 3 fishes. I guess that this will do. I went up to the shore.
Then I saw my best friend Teal. “What's good, Teal?” I said well waddling up to him.
“Oh hey,Jack. It's you! You scared me. I thought you were Marissa. I haven't seen her for like a week - have you seen her?” Teal said with a worried voice.
“What? Is she missing? Is she injured?”
“She was injured, but I left her to go find some help. But when I went back she was gone.” I saw a tear running down his face.
Out of nowhere we heard a scream that was so high pitched that my ears started to ring.
“Teal, did you hear that? It sounded like Marissa. Should we go see if it's her?”
“Yeah, let's go see if it's her!” Teal said.
As Teal and I got closer there was a sound. And it was very annoying. I don't know how to describe it, but it was something that I'm not used to at all. “Hey Teal, do you know what that big square thing is?”
“Huh? What are you talking about?” As he looks around he notices something.
“Hey Jack, look, it's Marissa!!” he shouts, and starts waddling towards her. I started to follow him, and all of a sudden there was an animal. A big one was on two of its limbs and it wasn't hairy at all, only on its head. Then it notices us and starts walking towards us.
“Jack RUNN!!!” as Teal starts to wattle away. By the time I realized it was too late the big animal was coming towards me and I didnt know what to do but ran away. but it was two late it caught up to me and that was the last thing I remember.
“JACK WAKE UP” Huh? What is that. That voice sounds familiar. Its sounds like Marissa. As I open my eyes in see its her
“Is that really you Marissa”
“Yes it is Jack “ she said
“Wait where are we?” I said
“Oh we are in a zoo”.
The mid-day sun had beamed through the little splotches of clouds in the sky. The crunchy snow atop the hill glistened brightly, bright enough to blind him. The bare forest, bark covered in green lichen. All these sights blurred out for Rudolph. All he could hear was the engine of the orange hovercraft, speeding away in the Canadian tundra. Rudolph and Donner had fallen behind during migration season, and were caught by the Reindeer Pirates. They had been atop the trees, waiting for an unsuspecting reindeer to stroll along, and fall into their trap. They caught the two with a net, and shoved them into a small metal cage behind a hovercraft. The door of the cage was closed off with a thick rope, double knotted for extra security. Donner moved to one corner of the cage, each step making the cage jump. Rudolph heard loud wails and whimpers, and felt the urge to do so himself. But he had other plans.
“Get up.” Rudolph was stern, enough to startle Donner. He got up onto all four legs, shaking with fear.
“We are trapped, Rudolph.” Donner sniffled. “The cage bars are too small for us to fit through, and our antlers will get in the way. What are we going to do?”
Rudolph had no worry. He looked around the cage, trying to find anything to possibly help them escape. He turned towards the door. “The door is tied shut with a rope. It’s nearly impossible to unknot it.” Rudolph smirked. “If we can’t untie it, we can just cut it!”
Rudolph moved towards the door, making the cage rumble. He weaved his antlers through the bars, and under the rope. He started sawing, back and forth, using all his might. Donner saw this, and walked towards the right side of the door. He went through and doubled the power. It took forever, but after a few minutes, the door swung open. They were home free. Rudolph jumped out first, landing on his side. Donner came after him, landing a few meters behind Rudolph. The two got up, and jumped around, happy at their successful escape. Now their next task; finding the rest of the group.
