Yo, I’m a moose, and I'm a herbivore

Plants, salt, and branches are what I'm craving for

It's been adapted to digest food from the Plantae kingdom

Instead of a stomach, we have a rumen;

It breaks down plants so it's easy to take food in

Then I spit it out, without a doubt, that’s definitely cud

And although it looks like it, trust me-it’s not mud

Then I eat it for the second time, so don't be too stunned

Aside from the greenery, I really like my salts

but trust me-I ain’t in salt-loving cults

Summers are funner with sodium-rich plants,

I’ll get it from forests and ponds-what nature grants

I'm kinda crazy, a bit addicted

But winter won't keep me restricted

I’ll lick the road salt on the highway

Getting sodium my way

In the end, it don’t matter if food’s from the land or the water,

I will chew through, then I’ll spew, then go in to gnaw her
