Travelling through the white forest,
Guided by the moonlight.
Placing one paw after the other in a chorus
On the blanket of snow- completely white.
Creeping towards my prey, who stays dormant.
It doesn't see me, doesn't know it will get smothered.
I blend in smoothly with the surrounding, waiting for the right time to confine.
An oasis of serenity inside amidst the bustling moment.
The prey is still oblivious- that's a good sign.
Choosing the right spot, I stand up straight- parallel to my opponent.
Straightening my stance, raising my jaw, I howl- loud and clear facing the full moon.
The pack is ready in their positions- I know it because of their addition.
Our howls echo through the glowing white and rich brown earthen hues of the forest.
The prey gets up on its hind legs and cocks its head to one side.
It's confused- doesn't know what's happening tonight.
Then it realizes…
It makes a run, knowing it's screwed.
But from the other side pounces another Arctic wolf.
The prey turns around and tries to escape the other way.
It's my turn to stand before it like a mighty mountain- it halts, looks around in dismay.
Two more wolves jump out and completely block the prey.
It whimpers and whines, knowing its end is near.
The wolves on either side strike swiftly for the legs, starting a fray.
They bite them hard, in case the prey runs away and disappears.
The time comes when the large caribou falls to the ground.
The night grows dead silent.
The red blood painting the snow is bright as the stars glow under the full moonlight.
We travel back to our pack, knowing that we've succeeded.
Every wolf will feast tonight.
We, the Arctic Wolves, are the greatest of all time.
We live in a forest and moving quickly,
Finding food directly.
we swing through the trees to find food to eat,
Nuts, seeds, and eggs we eat.
We Pick on small mammals to eat
Like snakes, frogs and lizards as teats.
We protect ourselves from danger,
As we are endangered,
We are smart and fast,
So we don’t get surpassed.
We live in a group and communicate,
So we are not underweight,
Helping us find food faster,
Showing who’s the master,
using our tales like hands,
Helping us to expand,
so don't misunderstand,
We are going to win as it was planned

The daytime heat; so blazing and strong.
Need to extinguish my scorching hunger.
I wait till the sun moves along,
To pin my prey, soon to be a goner.
I’m out in the dark,
It’s inky black and icy cold.
Sly and quick without a mark,
My enormous ears; precious as gold.
I use my sensitive ears,
Staying attentive for any sudden movement.
My ears twitch as one appears.
I bolt 20m/h towards it with much contentment
I spring three times my height right on the spot.
Start digging through the sand,
And you’ll see what I’ve got…
The creature under me is about to get canned.
Now that I’ve had something to eat,
I’ll get my water from the plants around me.
With Kidneys that conserve the little water I get,
I can survive for a million years without any water, you see.

Caught ‘em slippin’,
Eat ‘em whole and never let ‘em go,
Looking for food,
Movin’ slow but I go with the flow,
Livin’ in the moss,
So much food, I’ve never seen a loss.
Rotifers, Roundworms,
That’s my food, watch them squirm.
Only eat ‘em whole,
When I’m old.
That’s my goal,
Comin’ at them, I’m gold.
Stylets so sharp,
Cutting bodies,
Watch them drop.
Eating non-stop.
Once they’re open,
drain their guts out,
My pharynx is putting in the work,
No need to doubt.
