Info For Parents

Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

Epic Wildwood Summer Mission

Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that your son or daughter has been accepted into the prestigious Epic Wildwood Summer Mission! This is a testament to their dedication to a consistent Christian lifestyle, their high regard among peers and spiritual mentors, and their potential for leadership.

Your child's acceptance into this mission trip is a reflection of their courage and determination to pursue meaningful opportunities. The Epic Wildwood Summer Mission promises to be a transformative experience—one filled with challenges, growth, and lasting memories.

We believe that Summer Missions like this one are instrumental in shaping students into strong spiritual leaders. With a legacy spanning three decades, the Wildwood Summer Project has a proven track record of nurturing students from across the country. Your child will benefit from the guidance of dedicated Epic and Cru Staff during the first half of the summer, followed by the opportunity to lead alongside their peers for the remaining three weeks under the mentorship of our staff coaches.

During their time, your son or daughter will reside in separate men’s and women’s beach houses conveniently located in safe walking distance to the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. Each student will secure a full-time job (30-35 hours/wk) in the Wildwood area, and work alongside local residents and international students who find jobs to sustain them over their summer holidays. Many employers look forward to hiring our quality students each year, some even holding jobs for our students.  A list of potential employers should be available on the Epic Wildwood SM website.

We understand that you may have concerns about your child's experience this summer. Please rest assured that they will receive exceptional supervision and attentive coaching throughout their time with us. We firmly believe that there are few opportunities as impactful as our U.S. Summer Missions when it comes to character development and spiritual leadership.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to any of our Staff Directors listed below. We are honored to have the privilege of working with your son or daughter and welcome you to visit Wildwood during their time with us—parents are always welcome!

Jonathan Lê and Tiffany Jang will serve as the summer mission directors. After graduating in 2007 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in pre-medicine, Physics and Chemistry, Jonathan has been serving as a full-time missionary with Cru and Epic. He has worked and lived in Texas, California, Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. Currently, Jonathan serves on the Epic National Leadership Team as the Director of International Missions Strategies. Jonathan is married to Linda Lê (Kuo), who is also serving as a full-time missionary with Epic, and they live in Austin, TX, actively serve as members of the Austin Chinese Church, and have three wonderful sons (Wrighton 6, Josiah 2, and Emmerick 2). Together, Jonathan and Linda are passionate about connecting people to Jesus, training them to become spiritual leaders, and sending them out to live as faithful followers of Jesus.

Tiffany currently lives in Austin, TX, and currently serves as one of the Epic Team Leaders overseeing student-led movements throughout Texas. She works with students at UT Austin and UT San Antonio and has been on staff with Epic for 7 years. She grew up in Oregon and studied Business Finance at the University of Oregon, graduating in 2017. She became a Christian her freshman year of college, and through experiencing life change and hope through Jesus, she felt called to join full time ministry. She’s served on staff in Oregon, Southeast Asia, and Texas. Tiffany recently got married in 2022, and her husband Nathan is also on the same team as her in Epic (he’ll also be in Wildwood this summer!). She loves mentoring women and seeing students grow a personal relationship with Jesus!

If you are unfamiliar with the Christian faith, the Epic Movement, or Cru, and you would like to dialogue with someone about it, we would consider it a privilege.

Thank you for the gift of your son or daughter to the Epic Wildwood Summer Mission.  It will be a great time!

Sincerely,

        Jonathan and Tiffany Jang
