October means Halloween, Halloween means a little fright, so Sleepy Hollow might just be the right way to ring in the spooky season.

The usual suspect in Tim Burton´s films, Johnny Depp, is back and he doesn´t disappoint. He plays the role of Ichabod Crane, a Police Detective who is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, with the culprit being the legendary apparition, The Headless Horseman.

Featuring a Gothic cinematography, Sleepy Hollow is consedered one of Tim Burton´s masterpieces with outstanding special effects (remember this is 1999 we´re talking about).

Danny Elfman has worked his magic again on the soundtrack that contributes to the dark atmosphere of the film.

All in all, a film worth watching, even if you are a bit hesitant when it comes to "horror" films, like myself. Don´t worry, you will be able to sleep at night!
