On Convex Functions and Applications
In this talk, we will explore convex functions and their pivotal role in deriving elegant and powerful inequalities. We begin by examining the fundamental properties of convex functions and their applications in establishing these inequalities. Then, we will present an extension to more general classes of non-convex functions, which constitutes the main result of our discussion. Finally, we will delve into broader applications of this idea.

AI Agents: Revolutionizing Human-Computer Interaction
AI agents—software entities that perceive, decide, and act autonomously—are transforming how humans interact with technology.a Unlike traditional tools requiring explicit direction, these agents function as collaborative partners, anticipating needs and operating with increasing independence across personal, professional, and industrial domains.
This keynote explores the technical foundations of modern AI agents, including large language models and multi-agent systems, while showcasing real-world applications transforming industries today.
Dr. Nasredine Cheniki is a data scientist and generative AI expert with more than 10 years of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and knowledge graphs. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Sciences and Technologies Houari Boumediene (USTHB), specializing in semantic modeling and search using ontologies and Linked Open Data. He is currently a consultant at the Publications Office of the European Commission, where he focuses on developing generative AI applications, fine-tuning large language models, and designing metadata recommendation systems.
