About the Conference
The issue of sustainable waste management has become a major concern globally. Algeria, like other countries, is faced with a growing accumulation of waste which threatens the environment and the well-being of populations. Faced with this challenge, it is imperative to implement innovative and sustainable solutions for effective waste management.
As part of the new policy for the higher education and scientific research sector, which aims to actively involve university institutions in national development, the "PRFU" research-training team of the École Normale Supérieure of Technological Education of Skikda is organizing a conference on the sustainable management of waste, industrial effluents and emissions.
This event, which will be held on November 18, 19 and 20, 2024, aims to bring together researchers, professionals and institutional actors in order to:
Conduct a comprehensive diagnosis of waste, effluents, and emissions in Algeria, considering their entire lifecycle, from source to final destination.
Analyze the environmental, economic, social, and agricultural consequences associated with waste management in Algeria.
Examine innovative and sustainable solutions for managing waste, effluents, and emissions, leveraging recent scientific and technological advancements.
Formulate concrete proposals for the treatment and recovery of waste, effluents, and emissions, tailored to the realities of the Algerian context.
Convene researchers and industry experts to exchange experiences and foster synergy in waste management strategies.
Promote the creation of a national collaborative network to facilitate concerted efforts towards sustainable waste management in Algeria.
Actively support the participation of doctoral students and young researchers, providing them with a platform to showcase their work and engage with established experts.
This conference serves as a cornerstone for promoting sustainable waste management in Algeria, emphasizing the importance of research, innovation, and collaboration amongst various stakeholders.

All submissions should be full paper in English and plagiarism-free, i.e., they should not have been previously published in any conference proceedings, book, or journal and should not currently be under consideration elsewhere.
All submissions must present original and unpublished work that is not currently under consideration elsewhere. Submissions can have up to 8 pages formatted according to the standard IEEE two columns template:
