A manufacturing plant is collecting sensor measurements that test how much light each of their bulbs give off. They want to know the average of these sensor measurements, and they also need to filter out all the lightbulbs that don't output enough light because they cannot sell them!
Calculate the average of the measurements & filter out the failed lightbulbs, displaying the indexes of the failed lightbulbs so they can be discarded. Assume the threshold they have to meet or exceed is 22.0.

A biodiversity survey has recently been conducted in different areas of a local park, the findings of which are listed in your Colab Notebook in sets! The three sets contain all the species that were observed in each area of the park.
Your task is to determine all the distinct species present in all areas of the park, as well as which species are common to all survey areas, and which species (if any) are unique to area 1, area 2, and area 3.
You are leading a team of aerospace engineers and it is your job to keep track of the progress they are making on their individual tasks. Given a dictionary including the engineer's name, their task, and the status of their task, print out the names of all engineers who have not completed their tasks so you can follow up with them!
Also, you just got a new hire for the team - add her to the list too! Her name is Shannon, she is working on Wind Tunnel Testing, and her project status is "Scheduled."

Given a JSON file containing information about the periodic table, you are tasked with parsing through the information in the file and displaying info about the periodic table in a visually appealing way. Your Colab Notebook contains comments that will guide you through exactly what information you need to display! We also help you get the data loaded into your workbook.
Note: It is crucial that you understand the format of the JSON file so you can understand how to access the data inside! Be sure to spend time looking at the link below and/or printing out different sections of the JSON file so you can observe it and know what you're dealing with!

Help a family pick their next dog by displaying information about the dog breed that the user inputs! Given the user input, if the dog breed exists in the file, display all possible information about that breed. If the breed does not exist in the file, display an appropriate error message and allow them to enter another breed.
Note: try to set up your program so that the user input is not case sensitive! ie. the user could enter "poodle", "Poodle", or "pOoDlE", and they would all yield the same result.

During this activity, you will practice writing to files by writing a program that creates a file in your own Google Drive! We wrote an example for you that writes the contents of a list containing sensor readings to a file in your Drive. Simply look at the code we wrote and run the cells in order to observe how this works!
You will expand on this by adding another line to the file we wrote. Then, you will write a whole new file using the same sensor measurements, but this time you will write it as a CSV file!
Your Colab Notebook will guide you through these steps in more detail!
Create an example using all the following skills:
Get a JSON or CSV file and upload it to your Colab Notebook
Open the file
Store the contents of the file in a data structure
Extract/draw conclusions from the file
Write a new piece of data to the file (OPTIONAL)
Print out information from the file's contents in a visually appealing way
This one is open-ended, so have fun with it!
Before you submit, please make sure that your share settings are set so that anyone with the link is can comment on your notebook! Thank you!!
