Are teams allowed to use or build on their own existing prototypes for the innovation challenge which they have worked on previously?
Teams should create their prototypes based on the problem statements that they have chosen. Please work closely with your community partners and mentors to ensure you are building a prototype that could be a viable solution for the chosen problem statement.
Would there be any prototypes from the previous iteration of T4G for reference?

T4G2021 was an online festival, therefore the modality of their prototypes might be different from this year's teams. Do remember that your prototype should showcase your ideas to an in-person public and it is best you create a physical prototype. Need help with that? As there are times that the participants may be schooling and unable to commit as much, is the timeline for T4G flexible?
Your innovation period is in your hands! Innovators, mentors and community partners can decide their own schedule and pace. Do remember your deliverables and plan your 3 months accordingly.
What happens if participants are unable to finish their prototype by October?
Participants are to showcase their prototypes during the festival, no matter how sophisticated they are. The aim of the innovation challenge is to highlight creativity and innovation in solving real-world problems. In the real world, prototypes fail and we would love for you you to join our event to share how your prototype would have worked and what you should have done differently.
For now, give your best shot at building your prototype! Check out our list of makerspaces to see who can best help you with your prototype.
