1. Read!
2. Journal!
3. Read!
Ms. Carlson will hopefully be reading through a lot of your journals during this time. Remember, you should have about 8-10 entries! (Counting one of your PEELs.)
In groups of 2-3, pretend you're kids from the novel, and you're secretly passing notes to each other during Mr. Browne's English class. (Choose one of your notebooks to write in, but write all your names on that entry.)
Be sure and make it clear which characters you're pretending to be!

Step 1: Pick a theme related to the novel Wonder (friendship, being alone, defending the weak, standing up for yourself, etc.).
Step 2: Open to your lyrics section and create a catchy title.
Step 3: Decide which genre you want your song to be (folk, indie, opera, country, pop, rap, metal, reggae, EDM, gospel, Asian underground...) and write that next to your title.
Step 4: Start writing! It'll look like a poem, perhaps. Doesn't have to rhyme unless you want it to.
Step 5: Sing to your friends / Ms. Carlson / all your teachers / Mr. Kearns / the world!
1. Read!
2. Bullying Experiment vid
3. Daisy Poem

(Like Henry, Miles, Amos, and Jack did in the book)
Step 1: Imagine you are Daisy.
Step 2: Because you're now in Dog Heaven, you can write! You've also developed a love of rhymes since getting here (heaven). Write a rhyming poem from Daisy's perspective.
Step 3: Improve your rhymes by utilizing Rhyme Zone. (That's why you have your phone. You can borrow a friend's if you don't have one.)
