Cluster 8: Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine

Week 4

Day 22 (Sunday): On Sunday, the morning started slow with breakfast, followed by lots of inside time until lunch. Between lunch and dinner, Cluster 8 participated in programming per usual, with some highlighted activities being tie dye socks, cookie decorating, and water fun! After dinner, there was a little inside time so that our Cluster 8 members could get ready for the highly anticipated “Night Under the COSMOS” Dance. Everyone dressed to impress, and the night did not disappoint. The night featured mocktails, a photobooth, great music, and LOTS of dancing!! Shoutout to our Cluster 8 royalty, Tamanna and Aaron! This is definitely a highlighted event of our entire COSMOS experience!

Day 23 (Monday): This entire week is dedicated to our final projects! Different groups worked in the lab, starting on their assays and collecting data for further analysis. Labs are quite hectic, but it’s a learning process altogether and despite any mishaps in our study designs and procedures, we have learned to persevere. On Monday, instead of programming, we had a COSMOS talent show!! Whether we were participating in the show or supportive audience members, it was a ton of fun for everyone. Some highlighted performances that Cluster 8 took part in was a singing duet and a hot dog eating competition! Our cluster is full of talent :)

Day 24 (Tuesday):

In class, we continued working on collecting our data and finishing our presentations. For most groups, today is the last day to collect data and the rest will be dedicated towards our data analysis and presentations.

Day 25 (Wednesday):

Beginning the day strong, we were shown a recorded presentation from Dr. Dinah Sah (Dr. Sah’s SISTER!!!) about biologics, drug development, and more of that sort. It was extremely interesting and we can’t wait to get a LIVE zoom presentation from her tomorrow! Then, after this brief break from our projects, we got back to work on analyzing data and finalizing our presentations.

Day 26 (Thursday):

LAST FULL DAY TODAY!!!! Groups were rushing to complete their presentations and gather feedback before we had a Q&A session with Dr. Dinah-Sah. Then, after lunch, it was time to present our final presentations to the professors before the big day tomorrow.
