Summary:

Custom syringe pumps from published open source design
2 pumps flow in/out at the same rate to provide nutrients/remove waste
Programmable flow rates using Arduino controller and Python GUI
Mathematical model written in MATLAB to keep concentrations of key metabolites of interest constant given exponential cell growth
User inputs cell lines specific uptake rates and target concentrations
MATLAB program outputs flow rate profile to run with the pumps
Seed cells at low density to avoid running out of space over 3 days
Media samples for mass spectrometry can be collected in real time through ports
