Problem Statement:

Batch reactors, such as cell culture plates, cannot provide constant concentrations of nutrients to mimic physiological conditions. Additionally, even commercially available mini bioreactors are too large and expensive for small-scale cell culture studies. There is a need to create a smaller, more affordable method to maintain a static nutrient environment for cell culture.
