The HEIST Simulator has a valuable impact in the field of systems biology due to its significant model characteristics. The built model can be simulated in under a minute, manually adapted to different disease states, packaged in a virtual container called Docker, and accurately reflects the changes in the liver. These characteristics point to the simulator's speed, adaptability, accessibility, and accuracy and showcase its meaningful impact as a facile method to study in vivo human liver metabolism.
