Team YAJE consists of Yeiji, Anna, Eesha, and Julien. We are a part of Cluster 2, Engineering Control and Design of Kinetic Sculptures, as a part of COSMOS. COSMOS is a summer program for high school students who have an interest for mathematics and science. In this cluster we work together to build, program, and present a kinetic sculpture.
Yeiji: My name is Yeiji and I am a rising senior from Irvington High School. From my four years of experience in Irvington Robotics, I have gained considerable skills in CAD, build, automation, and etc. Because of my love for robotics and technology, I found it fitting to apply for COSMOS. I am looking forward to the people I meet here at COSMOS as well as all the skills I will learn.
Anna: I am a junior at Dos Pueblos High School, and I love exploring new fields of technology and science. I especially enjoy mechanical aspects of engineering like prototyping, designing, and troubleshooting problems. I am excited to be working with other students that have similar interests as me and expanding my fascination in STEM.
Julien: I came to COSMOS to explore if engineering design was something that I wanted to do and to get a taste of what it's like to live on a college campus far from home. I am going into my junior year at Mayfair High school and I hope that will come back to UC San Diego for college. Outside of academics, I like playing soccer and watching sports as well.
Eesha: I am a rising sophomore from Los Altos High School, and I am interested in engineering and design. As a member of Science Olympiad and Women in STEM at my school, I have experience in designing, prototyping, and building. At COSMOS, I am looking forward towards meeting and working with like-minded people.
