General Student Job Aids

In Workday, all details regarding a student’s contact information, academic history, academic plans, current schedules, notes and additional details can be found on the Student Profile. This job aid will highlight how to get to the Student profile.
Update Home Contact Information
After a Student joins Endicott College, Workday will be the primary source of information for their Home Contact details. To make changes to your Home Contact information (address, email, phone) you can either search directly for the Change My Home Contact Information task from the Workday search bar or navigate to the Contact Page for your Workday Profile. The following job aid will walk through how to make the changes from your Workday Profile.
Change Legal or Preferred Name
In Workday, Students may request a Legal or Preferred name change from the Workday Search bar or from their Workday Profile. For all Legal Name changes you will be required to submit the necessary documentation to make the changes. All changes will be submitted to the Registrar for approval. The following job aid will review steps to change both a Legal or Preferred name. IMPORTANT: Name changes in Workday will not update Canvas automatically. Name changes will have to be requested in both systems.

Workday is the primary source of information as Student’s personal information details, including military status. Military status could be utilized for a Student to potentially receive military benefits. Students should submit military status on their application or add/edit the information during Workday onboarding. If this has not be completed, the following job aid will outline steps to update Military Status in Workday.
Update Health Form Information
In Workday, students can submit their health form information during their initial onboarding. If changes are required, students can later update health form information by using the Create Request task in Workday.
Add or Edit Friends & Family Contact and Manage Third Party Permissions
A Friends and Family contact in Workday refers to a designated individual, such as a parent, guardian, or close family member or friend. Students can add F&F contacts to their profile and grant them limited access to view specific information or perform certain actions on their account. Adding a F&F contact does not automatically grant the contact access to the student’s account. A Student must still grant permissions to the F&F contact. The following job aid will review steps on how to Add a Friends & Family Contact, Edit a Friends & Family Contact and how to Manage Third Party User access. NOTE: This functionality is only accessible on the web browser, you will not be able to edit these functions on the Workday app.
Student Academics Job Aids

In Workday much of the Academic information and action items are organized easily for Students in the Academic Hub. This job aid will give an overview of key components of the Academic Hub such as:

Schedules)

In Workday, Instructors can create Progress Reports for Students in their course sections. The progress reports are referred to as Course Progress Reports and CPRs. As a Student, if you receive a Course Progress Report, you will be notified in the Notifications bell icon of Workday. You can also access all Course Progress reports from your Academic Hub. The following job aid will outline the steps on how to view the Course Progress Report notifications and how to access Course Progress reports from your Academic Hub.
Create or Update Academic Plan
Students can have Academic Plans built to organize and plan for all requirements towards their Academic Program at
Endicott. Academic Plans will be generated by Academic Plan templates that are created and managed by the Registrar’s office.
The Academic Plan will list all requirements towards a specific Academic Program and will link related courses that will fulfill that
requirement. After a plan has been created, a Student (or the Advisor) can request approval from their Advisor and then register
from the Academic Plan directly. The following job aid will outline the steps to Create, Update and Request approval of the Academic Plan.
Student Registration Job Aids

Drop, Swap, or Withdraw from Course Section
In Workday, Students have the access to Drop or Swap courses during registration and during the Add Drop period. After the Add
Drop period, the Student will have the option to Withdraw from a course using the same process. The following job aid will outline the steps for how to drop or swap a course from the Student’s current schedule.
Register for Course Section Directly
In Workday, Students can register from their Academic Plan, a Saved Schedule, or, if need be, by searching the individual course in the Find Course Sections report. The following job aid will outline the steps for registering for a Course Section from the Find Course Sections report.
In Workday, Students have the access to Create Saved Schedules. Saved Schedules can be built ahead of registration to
allow Students to select their preferred Course Sections and easily register for them during their registration appointment. The following job aid will outline the steps to create a saved schedule.
Register from a Saved Schedule
In Workday, Students have the access to Create Saved Schedules. Saved Schedules can be built ahead of registration to allow Students to select their preferred Course Sections and easily register for them during their registration appointment. In Workday, Students can be added to a Waitlist when registering for courses that are full. When space opens up for the course, the
Student will receive a task in their Workday Task Inbox to register for the course.
