For more than a decade, I have been privileged to develop and convene courses, trainings, retreats, and learning experiences for restorative justice practitioners, educators, organizational leaders, community members, and justice-system partners. These trainings often have featured colleagues in the field, or a series of them. At times I too have sat on faculty.
Attendance at these offerings to date is in the thousands cumulatively, reaching almost every continent and featuring a diverse range of identities and experiences represented in each course or session.
My teaching brings practical restorative process into conversation with trauma responsiveness, presence and coherence, power and difference, relational dynamics, human needs, organizational culture, and the inner capacities we bring to restorative work.
Ultimately, I teach what I need to learn, and every person I encounter offers that opportunity to be both teacher and student.
