Orientation and Welcome Weekend sets the direction and provides the support for new students beginning their experience at Emmaus. Intentional programs provide opportunities to begin developing lifelong friendships, to understand the importance of a Biblically integrated education, to serve together in the city of Dubuque, and to enjoy this experience with new friends.
Because Orientation and Welcome Week provides the opportunity to finalize your schedule, complete the financial aid process, and receive important information that will help you begin your journey at Emmaus, all first-time and transfer students are required to attend all Orientation Days events. Returning students are also required to participate in the scheduled Orientation Days events and meetings.

NEW STUDENTS
Your family is invited to join you for lunch in the Robbie Pile Dining Hall on move-in day, as well as to attend the Welcome and Worship event Wednesday evening. After the Welcome and Worship opening event, the student life team has events planned for you to begin life as a student.
We would encourage you to complete your shopping prior to coming to campus, but there are stores like Target and Walmart near by if you and your family would like to pick up any additional items to ensure you have everything you need to begin your journey at Emmaus.
We ask that you make every effort to arrive according to the posted schedule. However, if you are unable to arrive according to the posted schedule, please contact the Residence Life Office at reslife@emmaus.edu.
We ask all students to make plans to move in during the scheduled move-in time. For those needing to arrive early, there are a number of affordable hotel accommodations in Dubuque including the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Mainstay Suites.
