Projects:
Projects will be assigned throughout the semester. Specific instructions will be provided with each assignment. They typically involve more extensive work. They cover several objectives and are weighted more heavily than classwork. Projects require students to do work both inside and outside of class.
Attendance/Makeup Policy:
Students who have an excused absence have the privilege of making up missed work. Students must take responsibility to find out what work they missed. Students will be allowed one day plus the number of days absent to complete the assignments. Long standing due dates should be met on the day of return. Students must utilize the teacher’s tutoring hours to make-up tests or complete other assignments that require the student be at school to complete it. If a student misses the day before a test, but was present for the instruction of the material, that student will be expected to make up that test on the day of return, with no extension time. Test dates are announced well in advance of completion of a unit of study.
Classwork missed due to an illegal absence cannot be made-up. If grades were given during the illegal absence, the student will receive a zero for missed work.
