For my Rube Goldberg machine animation, I decided to create a machine that ultimately ends up with a piece of bread being slid into a toaster (described by an alternate title as "The Most Complicated Way to Toast a Piece of Bread").

To the left is the storyboard that I created in order to aid the creation of my animation.
