Strategic Instruction Model and I'm Determined Educator Resource Website Overview

Welcome to the Strategic Instruction Model and I'm Determined Educator Resource website. While attending the IMD Educator Symposium this past spring, you showed interest in implementing a SIM Strategy in your classroom to address the IMD Elements. You were mailed the SIM Strategy manual of your choice, and we are here to support you with your implementation.

Below, you will find the contact information for your regional T/TAC SIM Professional Developer. You can reach out to them at any point in your implementation process for guidance. We would like to offer you follow-along coaching support to assist you as you learn the new strategy and plan for implementation within your classroom. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to reach out and request the support that best meets your needs. Some people prefer to informally meet with a SIM Professional Developer prior to teaching the strategy, while others find it most effective to converse through email throughout the school year, as questions arise.

You will notice that this website includes separate webpages for 7 different SIM Strategies that align with the IMD Elements (The Self-Advocacy Strategy, Possible Selves, SCORE Skills, BUILD, LEARN, THINK, and TEAMWORK). Please take a moment to review the SIM and IMD Overview tab, which includes videos and a handout that provides overviews of SIM, IMD, and how they align.

Next, find the tab that matches the title of the manual you received. You will find additional resources to supplement your instruction and materials in your manual. Please don't hesitate to browse the other SIM strategies as well, as they might interest you for future consideration.

If you have any questions about this website, receiving your SIM manual, or how SIM aligns with I'm Determined, please contact Shelley Littleton at sblittleton@wm.edu .

HAPPY TEACHING!
