In this project, I completed and subsequently modified the tutorial project from Chapter 2 of the Derakshani text. My modified animation includes textured planets, a background of other stars, custom revolutions, and music from a song about "stargazing".

The sun, moons, and all planets got textures based on actual NASA texture maps! No longer just colored blobs, you can recognize the solar system we all know so well!

Now, the planets put on a performance! They rotate at different rates and go in different directions to create interesting patterns. It's even accompanied by music (Kygo's Stargazing)!

The original sun was too static for my liking so I made it rotate slowly. That wasn't pronounced enough so I made the sun gradually change color and get brighter and darker as the animation went on.
