In this animation, you get to ride on a roller coaster. And, it's in space! Changes made since the presentation include slowing down the ride and making the spaceship easier to see.
At the top of the big hill, the coaster pauses for a moment before falling.
As the coaster starts to move, it starts off slowly and speeds up. And at the end, the cart slows to a stop. Also, it slows down at the top of the hills. The amount it slows down is dependent upon how fast it was going, so the biggest slow is on the first and biggest hill.
I staged the frames with the space ship in them to create a sense of excitement by putting the spaceship right in the path of the coaster. It seems like the cart might crash into the ship.
I used shaders for the track and cart to give them both a spacey and a theme parky look. I also gave them a metallic glint. For the background, I used a seamless space texture that repeats around the inside of a sphere. The gravity ring also has a texture from the internet applied to it.
