What Archetypes Utter

In these paintings I’m exploring the female stereotypes and archetypes of Madonna, harlot and crone through self-portraits with two aspects of each category -- Punk Madonna and Compassionate Madonna; Flirt Harlot and Hedonist Harlot; Wise Crone and Decadent Crone.

Self-portraiture is a revelation of the self to the self. Here I have recorded what each painting has to tell me.
