Hello! I'm Jolie Jacqueline Flores, a college student working on an education degree. I chose to become a teacher because I firmly believe that education has the ability to change people's lives and give every student equal opportunity. My academic experience has influenced my dedication to creating welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environments for learning.
I have gained a strong foundation in teaching methods, classroom management techniques, and educational theory during my training. In order to integrate academic knowledge with student-centered instruction, I am especially interested in recognizing students as unique individuals. I consider personal practice, meaningful assessment, and careful lesson planning to be crucial elements for effective teaching.
My fieldwork and classroom experiences have reaffirmed how important it is to establish strong relationships with students.I've discovered that when students feel appreciated, supported, and seen, they succeed. As a future educator, I want to build an environment in the classroom that respects students' different backgrounds and learning styles while promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
My experiences have additionally pushed me to develop both personally and professionally. My ability to adjust lessons, communicate effectively, and react positively to feedback from mentors, instructors, and even students has all improved. I've also discovered that teaching calls for perseverance and lifelong learning. One difficulty I've encountered is discrimination because I'm Hispanic. I've learned the value of flexibility, reflective thinking, and resilience from it.
My goal is to become a teacher who encourages children to realize their full potential, encourages diverse learning, and promotes equity. I am thrilled to keep developing as a teacher and am proud of the accomplishments I have made.
